An Bíobla Naofa 1981

A Thiarna Dia na slua, cé is comhionann leat? Is cumhachtach tú, a Thiarna, agus do dhílseacht de gach leith díot.

Salm 89:9

Tá Dia dílis agus ní ligfidh sé bhur dtástáil thar bhur n-achmhainn agus nuair a thiocfaidh an triail cuirfidh sé an bealach ar fáil chomh maith i dtreo go mbeidh ar bhur gcumas teacht uaithi slán.

1 Corantaigh 10:13

Salm 89 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

6 Foilsíonn na flaithis do mhíorúiltí, a Thiarna;
tá d’fhírinne á moladh ag comhthionól na naomh.
7 Óir cé is cosúil leis an Tiarna sna néalta,
cé atá inchurtha le Dia ar shlua na bhflaitheas?
8 Is uafásach é Dia i gcomhchomhairle na naomh;
is éachtach é agus is uamhnach thar a bhfuil ina thimpeall.
9 A Thiarna Dia na slua, cé is comhionann leat?
Is cumhachtach tú, a Thiarna, agus do dhílseacht de gach leith díot.
10 Is agatsa atá ceannas ar fhraoch na farraige;
is tú a chuireann cosc le tulca na dtonnta.
11 Bhuail tú cos ar Ráhab go ndearna tú bloghanna de;
agus scaip tú d’eascairde le do chuisle chumhachtach.
12 Is leat na flaithis, is leat an talamh;
is tú a bhunaigh an domhan agus a bhfuil ann.

1 Corantaigh 10 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

10 Agus ná déanaigí monabhar mar a rinne cuid acu sin monabhar gur scrios an scriosadóir iad.
11 Tharla na nithe sin dóibh mar shampla dúinne agus scríobhadh iad mar rabhadh dúinne ar ar tháinig críoch na n-aoiseanna.
12 Dá réir sin an té ar dóigh leis go bhfuil sé ina sheasamh, tugadh sé aire ar eagla go dtitfeadh sé.
13 Níor rug aon triail oraibh go dtí seo a bhí thar chumas an duine. Mar tá Dia dílis agus ní ligfidh sé bhur dtástáil thar bhur n-achmhainn agus nuair a thiocfaidh an triail cuirfidh sé an bealach ar fáil chomh maith i dtreo go mbeidh ar bhur gcumas teacht uaithi slán.
14 Dá chionn sin, a chairde ionúine, seachnaígí an t-íoladhradh.
15 Ós ag caint le daoine stuama atáim, breithnígí féin a bhfuil agam á rá:
16 Cupa an altaithe a bheannaímid, nach páirtíocht i bhfuil Chríost é? Agus an t-arán a bhrisimid nach páirtiocht i gcorp Chríost é?

O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty as you are, O Lord, with your faithfulness all around you?

Psalm 89:8

God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

Salm 89 (English Standard Version)

5 Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,
your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones!
6 For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?
Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord,
7 a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones,
and awesome above all who are around him?
8 O Lord God of hosts,
who is mighty as you are, O Lord,
with your faithfulness all around you?
9 You rule the raging of the sea;
when its waves rise, you still them.
10 You crushed Rahab like a carcass;
you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.
11 The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours;
the world and all that is in it, you have founded them.

1 Corantaigh 10 (English Standard Version)

10 nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer.
11 Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.
12 Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.
13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 I speak as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say.
16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
