An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Ocras ná tart ní bheidh orthu feasta, ní loiscfear iad le gaoth ná le grian. Óir an té a ghlac trua dóibh, beidh sé á gcinnireacht agus á mbuachailleacht cois toibreacha fíoruisce.

Íseáia 49:10

Dúirt an Tiarna faoi rí na Bablóine:

Glacfaidh mé trua daoibh, le go mbeidh trua aigesan daoibh agus go ligfidh sé daoibh cur fúibh in bhur ndúiche féin.

Irimia 42:12

Íseáia 49 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

7 Is amhlaidh seo a deir an Tiarna,
fuascailteoir agus Neach Naofa Iosrael,
leis an té atá ina ábhar tarcaisne agus gráin ag na ciníocha air,
le sclábh na dtíoránach:
Éireoidh ríthe ina seasamh ach súil a leagan ort,
rachaidh prionsaí ar a mbéal fúthu,
de dheasca an Tiarna agus a dhílseachta,
Neach Naofa Iosrael a thogh thú.
8 Is amhlaidh seo a deir an Tiarna:
i dtráth mo pháirte tabharfaidh mé toradh ort,
lá na fuascailte tiocfaidh mé i gcabhair ort.
(Tá tú coinnithe caomhnaithe agam mar chonradh leis an bpobal.)
Cuirfidh mé an tír ina ceart arís;
roinnfidh mé oraibh as an nua na gabháltais scriosta;
9 déarfaidh mé leis na cimí: “Amach libh!”
agus leo siúd atá sa dorchadas: “Amach go bhfeicimid sibh!”
Ar na bealaí go léir beidh siad ag iníor,
ar gach dumhach ghainimh gheabhaidh siad féarach.
10 Ocras ná tart ní bheidh orthu feasta,
ní loiscfear iad le gaoth ná le grian.
Óir an té a ghlac trua dóibh, beidh sé á gcinnireacht
agus á mbuachailleacht cois toibreacha fíoruisce.
11 Déanfaidh mé slí de na sléibhte uile
agus leagfar síos dúshraith do na bealaí móra.
12 Tá dream acu ag triall ó chríoch i gcéin,
dream aduaidh agus dream aniar,
dream eile fós ó Shíním aneas.
13 Canaigí le lúcháir, a spéartha, agus déan gairdeas, a thalaimh!
a shléibhte, gairigí amach bhur racht áthais!
Óir tá an Tiarna ag tabhairt sóláis dá mhuintir
agus ag glacadh trua dá chlann dearóil.

Irimia 42 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

9 Dúirt sé leo: “Is mar seo a deir an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael, chun ar chuir sibh mise a fhoilsiú bhur n-achainí dó:
10 ‘Más toil libh fanacht go sítheach sa tír seo, tógfaidh mise suas sibh agus ní chaithfidh mé síos sibh; plandóidh mé sibh agus ní tharraingeoidh mé aníos sibh. Óir tá aiféala orm faoin olc a rinne mé oraibh.
11 Ná bíodh eagla rí na Bablóine oraibh faoi mar atá; ná bígí i bhfaitíos roimhe – a deir an Tiarna – óir táimse libh do bhur bhfuascailt agus do bhur sábháil as a láimh.
12 Glacfaidh mé trua daoibh, le go mbeidh trua aigesan daoibh agus go ligfidh sé daoibh cur fúibh in bhur ndúiche féin.
13 Ach má deir sibh: Ní maith linn fanacht sa tír seo; agus gan umhlú do ghlór an Tiarna bhur nDia,
14 á rá: Ní hea, ach rachaimid go tír na hÉigipte, áit nach bhfeicfimid cogadh ar bith agus nach gcluinfimid fuaim an stoic agus nach mbeidh easpa aráin orainn; is ann a dhéanfaimid cónaí.
15 Más mar sin é, éistigí le briathar an Tiarna Dia, sibhse a fhuíoll Iúdá. Is mar seo a deir Tiarna na Slua, Dia Iosrael:

They shall not hunger or thirst, neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them, for he who has pity on them will lead them, and by springs of water will guide them.

Isaiah 49:10

The Lord said about the king of Babylon:

I will grant you mercy, that he may have mercy on you and let you remain in your own land.

Jeremiah 42:12

Íseáia 49 (English Standard Version)

7 Thus says the Lord,
the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One,
to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation,
the servant of rulers:
“Kings shall see and arise;
princes, and they shall prostrate themselves;
because of the Lord, who is faithful,
the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”
8 Thus says the Lord:
“In a time of favor I have answered you;
in a day of salvation I have helped you;
I will keep you and give you
as a covenant to the people,
to establish the land,
to apportion the desolate heritages,
9 saying to the prisoners, ‘Come out,’
to those who are in darkness, ‘Appear.’
They shall feed along the ways;
on all bare heights shall be their pasture;
10 they shall not hunger or thirst,
neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them,
for he who has pity on them will lead them,
and by springs of water will guide them.
11 And I will make all my mountains a road,
and my highways shall be raised up.
12 Behold, these shall come from afar,
and behold, these from the north and from the west,
and these from the land of Syene.”
13 Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth;
break forth, O mountains, into singing!
For the Lord has comforted his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted.

Irimia 42 (English Standard Version)

9 and said to them, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your plea for mercy before him:
10 If you will remain in this land, then I will build you up and not pull you down; I will plant you, and not pluck you up; for I relent of the disaster that I did to you.
11 Do not fear the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid. Do not fear him, declares the Lord, for I am with you, to save you and to deliver you from his hand.
12 I will grant you mercy, that he may have mercy on you and let you remain in your own land.
13 But if you say, ‘We will not remain in this land,’ disobeying the voice of the Lord your God
14 and saying, ‘No, we will go to the land of Egypt, where we shall not see war or hear the sound of the trumpet or be hungry for bread, and we will dwell there,’
15 then hear the word of the Lord, O remnant of Judah. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: If you set your faces to enter Egypt and go to live there,
