An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Cuirfidh Dia neimhe agus talún an rath orainn! Táimidne, a shearbhóntaí, ag dul i mbun tógála.

Nihimiá 2:20

Chuir an Tiarna bhur nDia a bheannacht ort i mbun do ghnothaí go léir; choimeád sé a shúil oraibh agus sibh ag gabháil tríd an bhfásach fairsing seo.

Deotranaimí 2:7

Nihimiá 2 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

17 Dúirt mé leo ansin: “Feiceann sibh an cruachás ina bhfuilimid: tá Iarúsailéim ar lár agus a geataí dóite. Téanaigí, tógaimis ballaí Iarúsailéim agus ná bímis faoi náire mar seo a thuilleadh.”
18 Agus d’inis mé dóibh conas mar a bhí lámh chineálta Dé mar thaca liom chun na maitheasa, agus d’aithris mé dóibh a ndúirt an rí liom. “I mbun oibre linn!” ar siad, “agus ar aghaidh leis an tógáil!” agus chrom siad ar an obair fhónta le fonn.
19 Nuair a chuala Sanballat an Horónach agus Tóibíá an daor Amónach agus Geisim an tArabach mar gheall air seo, rinneadar magadh agus fonóid fúinn agus d’fhiafraíodar: “Céard atá ar siúl agaibh, an bhfuil ceannairc in aghaidh an rí á beartú agaibh?”
20 Ach thug mé freagra orthu: “Cuirfidh Dia neimhe agus talún an rath orainn! Táimidne, a shearbhóntaí, ag dul i mbun tógála; níl cuid ná ceart ná seoid chuimhne agaibhse in Iarúsailéim.”

Deotranaimí 2 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

4 Agus tabhair an t-ordú seo don phobal:
Tá sibh ar tí gabháil trí chríocha bhur mbráithre gaoil, clann Éasau a bhfuil cónaí orthu i Saeír. Tá eagla orthu romhaibh, ach bígí aireach.
5 Ná déanaigí iad a ghriogadh. Óir ní thabharfaidh mé aon phioc dá dtailte daoibh, aon phioc fiú oiread agus leithead tráchta, mar thug mé Sliabh Shaeír do Éasau mar shealúchas.
6 Díolaigí iad le hairgead as cibé bia a íosfaidh sibh; agus díolaigí iad le hairgead as cibé uisce a ólfaidh sibh.
7 Chuir an Tiarna bhur nDia a bheannacht ort i mbun do ghnothaí go léir; choimeád sé a shúil oraibh agus sibh ag gabháil tríd an bhfásach fairsing seo; bhí an Tiarna do Dhia in do choimhdeacht an daichead bliain sin; ní raibh aon ní riamh de dhíth ort.’
8 “Ghabhamar thar ár mbráithre gaoil, clann Éasau, a bhfuil cónaí orthu i Saeír, feadh bhealach an Arabá agus ó Éalat agus Eizion Geibir. Ansin chasamar agus ar aghaidh linn i dtreo fhásach Mhóáb.
9 Agus dúirt an Tiarna liom: ‘Ná déan ionsaí ar Mhóáb ná é a ghriogadh chun catha, óir ní thabharfaidh mé aon phioc dá thailte daoibh, óir thug mé Ár mar shealúchas do chlann Lót.’
10 (Mhair na hÉimím ansiúd tráth cine mór líonmhar, agus iad chomh hard leis na hAnácaím.

English Standard Version

The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build.

Nehemiah 2:20

The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He knows your going through this great wilderness.

Deuteronomy 2:7

Nihimiá 2 (English Standard Version)

17 Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision.”
18 And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work.
19 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they jeered at us and despised us and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?”
20 Then I replied to them, “The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but you have no portion or right or claim in Jerusalem.”

Deotranaimí 2 (English Standard Version)

4 and command the people, “You are about to pass through the territory of your brothers, the people of Esau, who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. So be very careful.
5 Do not contend with them, for I will not give you any of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on, because I have given Mount Seir to Esau as a possession.
6 You shall purchase food from them for money, that you may eat, and you shall also buy water of them for money, that you may drink.
7 For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He knows your going through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.”’
8 So we went on, away from our brothers, the people of Esau, who live in Seir, away from the Arabah road from Elath and Ezion-geber.
“And we turned and went in the direction of the wilderness of Moab.
9 And the Lord said to me, ‘Do not harass Moab or contend with them in battle, for I will not give you any of their land for a possession, because I have given Ar to the people of Lot for a possession.’
10 (The Emim formerly lived there, a people great and many, and tall as the Anakim.
