An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Mar chuir Dia an uile dhuine i ngeibheann san easumhlaíocht d’fhonn trócaire a dhéanamh orthu uile.

Rómhánaigh 11:32

Chuir an máistir fios air: ‘A sheirbhísigh mhallaithe,’ ar seisean, ‘mhaith mé féin duitse na fiacha úd ar fad mar go ndearna tú achainí orm. Nár cheart go ndéanfása mar an gcéanna trócaire ar do chomhsheirbhíseach faoi mar a rinne mise trócaire ort?’

Matha 18:32-33

Rómhánaigh 11 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

29 mar ní cúis aiféala choíche do Dhia a thíolacthaí ná an rogha a bhíonn déanta aige.
30 Bhí sibhse tráth easumhal do Dhia ach tá trócaire déanta anois oraibh trína n-easumhlaíochtsan.
31 Is é an dála céanna acu siúd é: tá siadsan éirithe easumhal anois nuair atá trócaire déanta oraibhse chun go ndéanfaí trócaire orthu chomh maith.
32 Mar chuir Dia an uile dhuine i ngeibheann san easumhlaíocht d’fhonn trócaire a dhéanamh orthu uile.
33 Cad é doimhneas ollmhaitheasaí agus eagna agus eolas Dé! Nach do-thuigthe atá a bhreithiúnais agus nach dorianta atá a bhealaí!
34 “Cé a thuig aigne an Tiarna? Nó cé a bhí riamh ina chomhairleoir aige?”
35 Nó “Cé a thug rud riamh dó go bhfaighidh sé a chúiteamh?”

Matha 18 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

29 Mar sin, chaith a chomhsheirbhíseach é féin ar lár ag achainí air: ‘Bíodh foighne agat liom,’ ar seisean, ‘agus íocfaidh mé leat é.’
30 Ach níorbh áil leis siúd é gan dul agus é theilgean i bpríosún nó go n-íocfadh sé na fiacha.
31 Nuair a chonaic a chomhsheirbhísigh an méid sin, ghabh buaireamh mór iad, agus chuaigh siad ag insint an scéil ar fad dá máistir.
32 Chuir an máistir fios air: ‘A sheirbhísigh mhallaithe,’ ar seisean, ‘mhaith mé féin duitse na fiacha úd ar fad mar go ndearna tú achainí orm.
33 Nár cheart go ndéanfása mar an gcéanna trócaire ar do chomhsheirbhíseach faoi mar a rinne mise trócaire ort?’
34 Agus le barr feirge thug a mháistir suas do na céastúnaigh é nó go n-íocfadh sé na fiacha leis go hiomlán.
35 Sin é freisin mar a dhéanfaidh m’Athair neamhaí libhse ach mura maitheann gach duine agaibh dá bhráthair féin ó chroí.”

English Standard Version

God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.

Romans 11:32

The king said to his servant:

I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?

Matthew 18:32-33

Rómhánaigh 11 (English Standard Version)

29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
30 For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience,
31 so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy.
32 For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.
33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?”
35 “Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?”

Matha 18 (English Standard Version)

29 So his fellow servant fell down and pleaded with him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’
30 He refused and went and put him in prison until he should pay the debt.
31 When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their master all that had taken place.
32 Then his master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me.
33 And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’
34 And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers, until he should pay all his debt.
35 So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”
