An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Bígí aireach agus ná cuireadh duine ar bith amú sibh.

Marcas 13:5

A chairde cléibh, ná creidigí gach spiorad ach promhaigí na spioraid féachaint an ó Dhia dóibh: mar go ndeachaigh a liacht fáithe bréige amach ar an saol.

1 Eoin 4:1

Marcas 13 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

2 Dúirt Íosa leis: “An bhfeiceann tú na foirgnimh mhóra seo? Ní fhágfar cloch ar mhuin cloiche nach leagfar anuas.”
3 Agus ina shuí dó ar Chnoc na nOlóg ar aghaidh an Teampaill, chuir Peadar, Séamas, Eoin agus Aindrias ceist chuige ar leithligh:
4 “Inis dúinn cén uair a thitfidh an méid sin amach, agus cén comhartha a bheidh ar na nithe sin eile a bheith ag teacht chun cinn.”
5 Agus thosaigh Íosa ar a rá leo: “Bígí aireach agus ná cuireadh duine ar bith amú sibh.
6 Tiocfaidh a lán daoine i m’ainmse á rá: ‘Is mise é,’ agus cuirfidh siad a lán daoine amú.
7 Nuair a chluinfidh sibh caint ar chogaí agus ar ráflaí ar chogaí, ná glacaigí scéin; óir ní foláir sin a theacht chun cinn, ach ní hé deireadh fós é.
8 Óir éireoidh náisiún in aghaidh náisiúin agus ríocht in aghaidh ríochta. Beidh maidhmeanna talún anseo agus ansiúd; beidh gortaí. Ní bheidh sa mhéid sin ach na harraingeacha tosaigh.

1 Eoin 4 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

1 A chairde cléibh, ná creidigí gach spiorad ach promhaigí na spioraid féachaint an ó Dhia dóibh: mar go ndeachaigh a liacht fáithe bréige amach ar an saol.
2 Mar seo a aithnítear an spiorad ó Dhia: gach spiorad a admhaíonn gur tháinig Íosa Críost i gcolainn dhaonna, is ó Dhia dó.
3 Agus gach spiorad a shéanann Íosa, ní ó Dhia dó, ach is é spiorad an Ainchríost é ar chuala sibh go raibh sé le teacht; agus atá ar an saol cheana féin.
4 Sibhse, áfach, a chlann liom, is ó Dhia daoibh agus tá buaite agaibh orthu siúd, mar gur treise an té atá ionaibhse ná an té atá ar an saol.

English Standard Version

See that no one leads you astray.

Mark 13:5

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 John 4:1

Marcas 13 (English Standard Version)

2 And Jesus said to him,
“Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”
3 And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
4 “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?”
5 And Jesus began to say to them,
“See that no one leads you astray.
6 Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and they will lead many astray.
7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet.
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.

1 Eoin 4 (English Standard Version)

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
