An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Ní bheidh oraibh troid sa chath seo; téigí chun bhur láithreacha, seasaigí an fód, agus feicigí an bua atá i ndán daoibh ag an Tiarna.

2 Croinicí 20:17

Is é a thugann sólás dúinne cibé anacair a bheireann orainn, i dtreo go mbímid i riocht sólás a thabhairt do dhaoine eile a bhíonn in aon anacair leis an sólás lena bhfaighimid féin sólás ó Dhia.

2 Corantaigh 1:4

2 Croinicí 20 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

14 Tháinig spiorad an Tiarna i lár an chomhthionóil ar Iachazíéil mac Zacairiá, mac Bhanáiá, mac Ieíéil, mac Mhatainiá an Léivíteach, duine de chlann Ásáf;
15 dúirt sé: “Éistigí, a fheara uile Iúdá, agus sibhse a chónaíonn in Iarúsailéim, agus tusa a rí Iahóiseáfát! Mar seo a deir an Tiarna libh: ‘Ná bíodh eagla oraibh agus ná cuireadh an mathshlua mór seo drochmhisneach oraibh! Ní libhse an cath seo ach le Dia.
16 Cuirigí chun bóthair ina gcoinne amárach! Féach! tá siad ag teacht Ard Zíz aníos agus tiocfaidh sibh orthu i lúib an ghleanna lastoir de fhásach Iarúael.
17 Ní bheidh oraibh troid sa chath seo; téigí chun bhur láithreacha, seasaigí an fód, agus feicigí an bua atá i ndán daoibh ag an Tiarna. A Iúdá agus a Iarúsailéim, ná bíodh scéin ná drochmhisneach oraibh! Gluaisigí amach ina gcoinne amárach agus beidh an Tiarna in bhur dteannta.’”
18 Ansin chrom Iahóiseáfát a cheann agus a aghaidh chun talún agus chaith Iúdá go léir agus áitritheoirí Iarúsailéim iad féin ar a mbéala in ómós don Tiarna.
19 Ansin sheas na Léivítigh, na Cohátaigh agus na Corachaigh, leis an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael, a mholadh, in ard a gcinn agus a ngutha.
20 D’éirigh siad go moch ar maidin agus d’imigh siad leo go fásach Theacóá. Ag cur chun bealaigh dóibh sheas Iahóiseáfát ansiúd agus dúirt: “Éistigí liom a fheara Iúdá, sibhse a chónaíonn in Iarúsailéim! Bíodh muinín agaibh sa Tiarna bhur nDia agus ní baol daoibh. Bíodh muinín agaibh ina fháithe agus beidh an lá libh.”

2 Corantaigh 1 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

1 Mise Pól, aspal le hÍosa Críost de dheonú Dé, agus an bráthair Tiomóid. Beannaímid d’eaglais Dé i gCorant agus dá bhfuil de naoimh in Acháia ar fad.
2 Grásta agus síocháin chugaibh ó Dhia an tAthair agus ón Tiarna Íosa Críost.
3 Moladh le Dia, le hAthair ár dTiarna Íosa Críost, le hAthair gach trócaire agus le Dia an tsóláis uile.
4 Is é a thugann sólás dúinne cibé anacair a bheireann orainn, i dtreo go mbímid i riocht sólás a thabhairt do dhaoine eile a bhíonn in aon anacair leis an sólás lena bhfaighimid féin sólás ó Dhia.
5 Óir má fhaighimid flúirse de pheannaidí Chríost, faighimid flúirse sóláis ó Chríost chomh maith céanna.
6 Nuair a bhímid dár gcrá, is ar mhaithe le sólás agus slánú a bhuachan daoibhse é; agus nuair a fhaighimid sólás is geall le sólás daoibhse freisin é, mar go gcuireann sé ar bhur gcumas cur suas go foighneach leis na peannaidí céanna a bhíonn ag cur orainn féin.
7 Agus tá bonn maith lenár ndóchas asaibh, de bhrí go dtuigimid, ó tá sibh páirteach inár bpianta, go mbeidh sibh i bpáirt linn sa sólás chomh maith.

Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf.

2 Chronicles 20:17

God comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 1:4

2 Croinicí 20 (English Standard Version)

14 And the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.
15 And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God's.
16 Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz. You will find them at the end of the valley, east of the wilderness of Jeruel.
17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.”
18 Then Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.
19 And the Levites, of the Kohathites and the Korahites, stood up to praise the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.
20 And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed.”

2 Corantaigh 1 (English Standard Version)

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To the church of God that is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5 For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.
7 Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.
