Bibelen

Mikas Bog 6,8

Hoseas Bog 12 (Bibelen)

4 I moders liv bedrog han sin bror,
i sin manddom kæmpede han med Gud.
5 Han kæmpede med englen og sejrede;
han græd og bad ham om nåde.
I Betel fandt Herren ham,
8 Kana'an bruger falsk vægt,
han elsker at undertrykke.
9 Efraim siger:
»Hvor er jeg rig!
Jeg har skabt mig velstand,
og al min rigdom har ikke
påført mig
skyld og synd.«
10 Jeg er Herren din Gud,
lige siden du var i Egypten.
Jeg lader dig bo i telte på ny
som i festens dage.

Mikas Bog 6 (Bibelen)

5 Mit folk, husk dog,
hvad Moabs konge Balak planlagde,
og hvad Bileam, Beors søn, svarede ham;
7 Tager Herren imod væddere i tusindtal,
imod oliestrømme i titusindtal?
min livsfrugt for min synd?«

So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.

Hosea 12:6

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8

Hoseas Bog 12 (English Standard Version)

3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel,
and in his manhood he strove with God.
4 He strove with the angel and prevailed;
he wept and sought his favor.
He met God at Bethel,
and there God spoke with us—
5 the Lord, the God of hosts,
the Lord is his memorial name:
6 “So you, by the help of your God, return,
hold fast to love and justice,
and wait continually for your God.”
7 A merchant, in whose hands are false balances,
he loves to oppress.
8 Ephraim has said, “Ah, but I am rich;
I have found wealth for myself;
in all my labors they cannot find in me iniquity or sin.”
9 I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt;
I will again make you dwell in tents,
as in the days of the appointed feast.

Mikas Bog 6 (English Standard Version)

5 O my people, remember what Balak king of Moab devised,
and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him,
and what happened from Shittim to Gilgal,
that you may know the saving acts of the Lord.”
6 “With what shall I come before the Lord,
and bow myself before God on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
8 He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
9 The voice of the Lord cries to the city—
and it is sound wisdom to fear your name:
“Hear of the rod and of him who appointed it!
10 Can I forget any longer the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked,
and the scant measure that is accursed?
11 Shall I acquit the man with wicked scales
and with a bag of deceitful weights?
