Die Woord vir Vrydag 28 Maart 2025

Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling)

Psalm 42:9

Matteus 6 (Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling))

9 "So moet julle bid: Ons Vader wat in die hemel is, laat u Naam geheilig word;

Psalm 42 (Bybel in Afrikaans (1983-vertaling))

6 Waarom is ek so in vertwyfeling en waarom kerm ek so? Vertrou op God! Ja, ek sal weer vir Hom 'n loflied sing. Hy is my helper
7 en my God!
10 Ek wil vir God sê: "My Rots, waarom het U my vergeet?
11 Dit sny deur my hele wese as my teëstanders my spot en dag na dag vir my sê: "En waar is jou God nou?"
12 Waarom is ek so in vertwyfeling en waarom kerm ek so? Vertrou op God! Ja, ek sal weer vir Hom 'n loflied sing. Hy is my helper en my God!

English Standard Version

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Matthew 6:6

By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

Psalm 42:8

Matteus 6 (English Standard Version)

3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
5 “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.

Psalm 42 (English Standard Version)

5 Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation
6 and my God.
My soul is cast down within me;
therefore I remember you
from the land of Jordan and of Hermon,
from Mount Mizar.
7 Deep calls to deep
at the roar of your waterfalls;
all your breakers and your waves
have gone over me.
8 By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life.
9 I say to God, my rock:
“Why have you forgotten me?
Why do I go mourning
because of the oppression of the enemy?”
10 As with a deadly wound in my bones,
my adversaries taunt me,
while they say to me all the day long,
“Where is your God?”
11 Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.
