被 神 所 愛 的 弟 兄 阿 、 我 知 道 你 們 是 蒙 揀 選 的 ． 因 為 我 們 的 福 音 傳 到 你 們 那 裡 、 不 獨 在 乎 言 語 、 也 在 乎 權 能 、 和 聖 靈 、 並 充 足 的 信 心 。

帖撒羅尼迦前書 1:4-5

保 羅 對 於 出 於 信 心 的 義 寫 道：

他 到 底 怎 麼 說 呢 ？ 他 說 ： 『 這 道 離 你 不 遠 、 正 在 你 口 裡 、 在 你 心 裡 』 就 是 我 們 所 傳 信 主 的 道 。

1 保 羅 、 西 拉 、 提 摩 太 、 寫 信 給 帖 撒 羅 尼 迦 在 父 　 神 和 主 耶 穌 基 督 裡 的 教 會 ． 願 恩 惠 平 安 歸 與 你 們 。
2 我 們 為 你 們 眾 人 常 常 感 謝 　 神 、 禱 告 的 時 候 題 到 你 們 ．
3 在 　 神 我 們 的 父 面 前 、 不 住 的 記 念 你 們 因 信 心 所 作 的 工 夫 、 因 愛 心 所 受 的 勞 苦 、 因 盼 望 我 們 主 耶 穌 基 督 所 存 的 忍 耐 。
4 被 　 神 所 愛 的 弟 兄 阿 、 我 知 道 你 們 是 蒙 揀 選 的 ．
5 因 為 我 們 的 福 音 傳 到 你 們 那 裡 、 不 獨 在 乎 言 語 、 也 在 乎 權 能 、 和 聖 靈 、 並 充 足 的 信 心 ． 正 如 你 們 知 道 我 們 在 你 們 那 裡 、 為 你 們 的 緣 故 是 怎 樣 為 人 。
6 並 且 你 們 在 大 難 之 中 、 蒙 了 聖 靈 所 賜 的 喜 樂 、 領 受 真 道 、 就 效 法 我 們 、 也 效 法 了 主 ．
7 甚 至 你 們 作 了 馬 其 頓 和 亞 該 亞 、 所 有 信 主 之 人 的 榜 樣 。
8 因 為 主 的 道 從 你 們 那 裡 已 經 傳 揚 出 來 、 你 們 向 　 神 的 信 心 不 但 在 馬 其 頓 和 亞 該 亞 、 就 是 在 各 處 、 也 都 傳 開 了 ． 所 以 不 用 我 們 說 甚 麼 話 。

5 摩 西 寫 著 說 、 『 人 若 行 那 出 於 律 法 的 義 、 就 必 因 此 活 著 。 』
6 惟 有 出 於 信 心 的 義 如 此 說 、 『 你 不 要 心 裡 說 、 誰 要 升 到 天 上 去 呢 ． 就 是 要 領 下 基 督 來 ．
7 誰 要 下 到 陰 間 去 呢 ． 就 是 要 領 基 督 從 死 裡 上 來 。 』
8 他 到 底 怎 麼 說 呢 ． 他 說 、 『 這 道 離 你 不 遠 、 正 在 你 口 裡 、 在 你 心 裡 。 』 就 是 我 們 所 傳 信 主 的 道 。
9 你 若 口 裡 認 耶 穌 為 主 、 心 裡 信 　 神 叫 他 從 死 裡 復 活 、 就 必 得 救 ．
10 因 為 人 心 裡 相 信 、 就 可 以 稱 義 ． 口 裡 承 認 、 就 可 以 得 救 。
11 經 上 說 、 『 凡 信 他 的 人 、 必 不 至 於 羞 愧 。 』

5 because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.
6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit,
7 so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
8 For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything.

羅馬書 10 (English Standard Version)

5 For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)
7 or “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
