An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Nach dtuigeann sibh, a bhráithre, gur teampall Dé sibh agus go bhfuil Spiorad Dé ina chónaí ionaibh.

1 Corantaigh 3:16

Scríobh Pól:

Ní mise a mhaireann beo feasta ach Críost a mhaireann ionam.

Galataigh 2:20

1 Corantaigh 3 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

13 beidh saothar cách soiléir le feiceáil; mar nochtfaidh an Lá é; mar nochtfar é sa lasair agus tástálfaidh an lasair cén sort oibre a bheidh déanta ag cách.
14 Má sheasann saothar tógála duine an triail, gheobhaidh sé a thuarastal;
15 ach má loisctear saothar duine, fágfar gan díol é; tiocfaidh sé féin slán, áfach, mar dhuine a bheadh gafa trí thine.
16 Nach dtuigeann sibh, a bhráithre, gur teampall Dé sibh agus go bhfuil Spiorad Dé ina chónaí ionaibh.
17 Duine ar bith a mhilleann teampall Dé, millfidh Dia eisean, mar is naofa é teampall Dé – agus is sibhse an teampall sin.
18 Ná bíodh aon dul amú ar aon duine; aon duine agaibh a áiríonn é féin a bheith eagnaí de réir ghnás an tsaoil seo, bíodh sé ina amadán le go mbeadh sé eagnaí dáiríre.
19 Mar níl in eagna an tsaoil seo ach díth céille i bhfianaise Dé, mar tá scríofa: “Sáinníonn sé na saoithe ina gcuid glicis féin”;

Galataigh 2 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

17 Ach má fhaightear go bhfuilimidne peacúil leis agus sinn ag lorg na fíréantachta i gCríost, an bhfuil, más ea, lámh ag Críost sa pheaca? Níl ar chor ar bith!
18 Má dhéanaim-sé, áfach, an córas a leag mé ar lár a chur suas arís, cruthaím ansin go bhfuilim ciontach.
19 Mar is tríd an dlí a fuair mise bás i leith an dlí chun go mairfinn beo i leith Dé; céasadh ar an gcrois mé in éineacht le Críost
20 agus ní mise a mhaireann beo feasta ach Críost a mhaireann ionam. An saol a chaithim sa cholainn anois, caithim é faoi luí an chreidimh atá agam i Mac Dé a thug suas é féin ar mo shon le neart grá dom.
21 Níl grásta Dé agam á chaitheamh uaim, óir más ón dlí a thagann fíréantacht, fuair Críost bás in aisce.

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16

Paul writes:

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.

Galatians 2:20

1 Corantaigh 3 (English Standard Version)

13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.
14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward.
15 If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
16 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,”

Galataigh 2 (English Standard Version)

17 But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not!
18 For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor.
19 For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God.
20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
