An Bíobla Naofa 1981

An donas seo, tá sé á chlaochlú ina shéan; is tú a shábháil mé ar dhuibheagán an neamhní, óir chaith tú ar do chúla mo pheacaí go léir.

Íseáia 38:17

Má admhaímid ár bpeacaí, tá seisean dílis cóir agus maithfidh sé dúinn ár bpeacaí agus glanfaidh sinn ón uile olc.

1 Eoin 1:9

Íseáia 38 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

14 Mar a bheadh fáinleog ann, tá mé ag bíogarnach,
tá mé ag olagón ar nós colúir;
tá mo shúile á n-iompú agam i dtreo na n-ard,
amharc i mo dhiaidh agus bí i d’urra agam.
15 Cad is féidir liom a rá, ná a chaitheamh suas leis an Tiarna,
ó tharla gurb é féin a rinne an beart seo;
beidh mé ag fánaíocht romham an dá lá a mhairfidh mé,
agus m’anam go goirt ionam istigh.
16 Ach, a Thiarna, ina dhiaidh sin beidh m’anam beo i do chuideachta;
is tú a thabharfaidh suaimhneas do mo spiorad.
Beidh fáil ar théarnamh agam agus fadú saoil.
17 Óir an donas seo, tá sé á chlaochlú ina shéan;
is tú a shábháil mé ar dhuibheagán an neamhní,
óir chaith tú ar do chúla mo pheacaí go léir.
18 Ní thugann Seól moladh duit,
ní féidir don Bhás tú a cheiliúradh;
an dream a théann síos sa duibheagán,
níl dóchas acu as do dhílseacht níos mó.
19 An beo, an beo amháin a cheiliúrann thú,
mar a dhéanaim féin inniu.
Athair mé ag meabhrú do dhílseachta dá chlann.
20 Tá an Tiarna i ngar chun mé a shábháil;
mar sin seinnfimid ceol molta ar théada
laethanta uile ár saoil os comhair Theampall an Tiarna.

1 Eoin 1 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

6 Má deirimid go bhfuilimid i bpáirt leis agus sinn ag siúl sa dorchacht, déanaimid an bhréag agus ní hí an fhírinne a chleachtaimid.
7 Más sa solas, áfach, a shiúlaimid, faoi mar atá seisean sa solas, tá páirt againn lena chéile, agus glanann fuil Íosa Críost a Mhac ón uile pheaca sinn.
8 Má deirimid nach bhfuil aon pheaca orainn meallaimid sinn féin agus níl an fhírinne ionainn.
9 Má admhaímid ár bpeacaí, tá seisean dílis cóir agus maithfidh sé dúinn ár bpeacaí agus glanfaidh sinn ón uile olc.
10 Má deirimid nach ndearnamar aon pheaca bréagnaímid é agus níl a fhocal ionainn.

English Standard Version

Behold, it was for my welfare that I had great bitterness; but in love you have delivered my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

Isaiah 38:17

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

Íseáia 38 (English Standard Version)

14 Like a swallow or a crane I chirp;
I moan like a dove.
My eyes are weary with looking upward.
O Lord, I am oppressed; be my pledge of safety!
15 What shall I say? For he has spoken to me,
and he himself has done it.
I walk slowly all my years
because of the bitterness of my soul.
16 O Lord, by these things men live,
and in all these is the life of my spirit.
Oh restore me to health and make me live!
17 Behold, it was for my welfare
that I had great bitterness;
but in love you have delivered my life
from the pit of destruction,
for you have cast all my sins
behind your back.
18 For Sheol does not thank you;
death does not praise you;
those who go down to the pit do not hope
for your faithfulness.
19 The living, the living, he thanks you,
as I do this day;
the father makes known to the children
your faithfulness.
20 The Lord will save me,
and we will play my music on stringed instruments
all the days of our lives,
at the house of the Lord.

1 Eoin 1 (English Standard Version)

6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
