An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Rinne an Tiarna do Dhia beannacht den mhallacht duit, mar go raibh grá ag an Tiarna do Dhia duit.

Deotranaimí 23:5

Dúirt an coirpeach le hÍosa: “A Íosa, cuimhnigh ormsa nuair a thiocfaidh tú faoi réim do ríochta!” Agus dúirt seisean leis: “Deirim leat go fírinneach, beidh tú in éineacht liom inniu i bparthas.”

Lúcás 23:42-43

Deotranaimí 23 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

2 Ná téadh bastard i dTionól an Tiarna; ná téadh duine dá shliocht go dtí an deichiú glúin i dTionól an Tiarna.
3 Ná bíodh cead isteach i dTionól an Tiarna ag Amónach ná ag Móábach; fiú go dtí an deichiú glúin ná bíodh cead isteach go Tionól an Tiarna ag a sliocht go brách.
4 Óir níor tháinig siad in bhur gcoinne le harán agus le huisce agus sibh ar an tslí amach as an Éigipt, agus d’fhostaigh siad Balám mac Bheór ó Phatór in Arám an Dá Abhainn chun mallacht a chur ort.
5 Ach ní éisteodh an Tiarna do Dhia le Balám agus rinne an Tiarna do Dhia beannacht den mhallacht duit, mar go raibh grá ag an Tiarna do Dhia duit.
6 Go brách fad a mhairfidh tú ná bí sa tóir ar a síocháin ná ar a gconách.
7 Ná bíodh fuath agat don Eadómach óir is bráthair duit é, ná don Éigipteach mar gur dheoraí thú ina thír.
8 Bíodh cead isteach i dTionól an Tiarna ag an tríú glúin dá sliochtsan.

Lúcás 23 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

39 Duine de na coirpigh a bhí arna gcrochadh, bhí sé á dhiamhaslú á rá: “Nach tú an Críost? Saor tú féin agus sinne.”
40 Ach thug an duine eile casaoid dó agus dúirt: “An ea nach bhfuil eagla Dé ort, agus tusa faoin daorbhreith chéanna?
41 Agus maidir linne, is le ceart é: tá díol ár mbeart féin á thabhairt orainn ach ní dhearna sé seo rud ar bith as an tslí.”
42 Agus dúirt: “A Íosa, cuimhnigh ormsa nuair a thiocfaidh tú faoi réim do ríochta!”
43 Agus dúirt seisean leis: “Deirim leat go fírinneach, beidh tú in éineacht liom inniu i bparthas.”
44 Bhí sé timpeall an séú huair faoin am seo nuair a tháinig dorchadas anuas ar an talamh go léir go dtí an naoú huair, mar chaill an ghrian a solas.
45 Réabadh brat an Teampaill ina lár.
46 Agus ghlaoigh Íosa amach de ghlór ard agus dúirt: “A Athair, taobhaím mo spiorad i leith do lámh.” Agus ar a rá sin dó, shíothlaigh sé.

Luke 23:42-43

Deotranaimí 23 (English Standard Version)

2 “No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord.
3 “No Ammonite or Moabite may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of them may enter the assembly of the Lord forever,
4 because they did not meet you with bread and with water on the way, when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.
5 But the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam; instead the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loved you.
6 You shall not seek their peace or their prosperity all your days forever.
7 “You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you were a sojourner in his land.
8 Children born to them in the third generation may enter the assembly of the Lord.

Lúcás 23 (English Standard Version)

39 One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!”
40 But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”
42 And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
43 And he said to him,
“Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
44 It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour,
45 while the sun's light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
46 Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said,
“Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!”
And having said this he breathed his last.
