An Briathar do Dé Luain, 8 Nollaig, 2025

An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Sé Dia síoraí do thearmann. Anseo thíos sé an lámh shíoraí é ag tiomáint an namhad romhat; eisean a deir: “Scrios iad.”

Deotranaimí 33:27

Is mar a chéile Íosa Críost inné agus inniu agus go brách.

Eabhraigh 13:8

Deotranaimí 33 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

24 Dúirt sé faoi Áiséar:
Go raibh beannacht thar na mic ar Áiséar;
gurb é muirnín a bhráithre é.
agus tumadh sé a chosa in ola!
25 Bíodh do bholtaí d’iarann agus de phrás
agus do neart comhfhad le do ré.
26 Níl aon neach mar Dhia, Isiriún;
tagann sé i gcabhair ort ar mhuin na spéartha;
agus ar mhuin na néalta ina mhórgacht.
27 Sé Dia síoraí do thearmann.
Anseo thíos sé an lámh shíoraí é
ag tiomáint an namhad romhat;
eisean a deir: “Scrios iad.”
28 Uime sin lonnaíonn Iosrael i síocháin;
toghtar tobar Iacóib
mar thír arbhair agus fíona;
sileann neamh féin an drúcht anuas
29 Nach méanar duit, a Iosrael!
Cé tá mar thú, pobal a d’fhuascail an Tiarna,
an té is sciath do dhídine,
agus claíomh do bhua.
Tiocfaidh do naimhde ag lútáil ort,
ach siúlfaidh tusa ar a ndroim.

Eabhraigh 13 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

5 Ná bíodh andúil agaibh san airgead. Ach bígí sásta lena bhfuil agaibh. Óir, deir Dia féin: “Ní thréigfidh mé thú go deo; ní fhágfaidh mé san abar thú choíche.”
6 Mar sin de, ní miste dúinn a rá go muiníneach: “Is é an Tiarna a thugann cabhair dom, ní bheidh eagla dá laghad orm. Cad is féidir le haon duine a dhéanamh orm?”
7 Cuimhnígí ar na ceannairí a bhí agaibh tráth, an mhuintir a d’fhógair briathar Dé daoibh. Machnaígí ar dhea-chríoch a saoilsean agus déanaigí aithris ar a gcreideamh.
8 Ach is mar a chéile Íosa Críost inné agus inniu agus go brách.
9 Ná cuirtear ar seachrán sibh le gach saghas teagaisc strainséartha. Is fearr an croí a neartú le grásta [Dé] ná le cúrsaí bia nach ndeachaigh chun sochair do na daoine a bhíodh ag plé leo.
10 Tá altóir againne nach ceadmhach do lucht freastail an Teampaill ithe di.
11 Is lasmuigh den champa a dhóitear conablaigh na n-ainmhithe a dtugann an t-ardsagart a gcuid fola isteach san Áit Rónaofa in éiric an pheaca.

English Standard Version

The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

Deuteronomy 33:27

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

Deotranaimí 33 (English Standard Version)

24 And of Asher he said,
“Most blessed of sons be Asher;
let him be the favorite of his brothers,
and let him dip his foot in oil.
25 Your bars shall be iron and bronze,
and as your days, so shall your strength be.
26 “There is none like God, O Jeshurun,
who rides through the heavens to your help,
through the skies in his majesty.
27 The eternal God is your dwelling place,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
And he thrust out the enemy before you
and said, Destroy.
28 So Israel lived in safety,
Jacob lived alone,
in a land of grain and wine,
whose heavens drop down dew.
29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you,
a people saved by the Lord,
the shield of your help,
and the sword of your triumph!
Your enemies shall come fawning to you,
and you shall tread upon their backs.”

Eabhraigh 13 (English Standard Version)

5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
6 So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?”
7 Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
9 Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them.
10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tent have no right to eat.
11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp.
