An Briathar do Dé Máirt, 20 Bealtaine, 2025

An Bíobla Naofa 1981

D’imigh an duine agus d’inis sé do na Giúdaigh gurbh é Íosa a leigheas é.

Eoin 5:15

Tháinig Íosa chucu agus labhair sé leo: Tá gach údarás tugtha domsa ar neamh agus ar talamh. Imígí dá bhrí sin, déanaigí deisceabail de na náisiúin uile, á mbaisteadh in ainm an Athar agus an Mhic agus an Spioraid Naoimh, ag múineadh dóibh gach ní atá ordaithe agam a choinneáil.

Matha 28:18-20

Eoin 5 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

12 D’fhiafraigh siad de ansin: “Cé hé an duine a dúirt leat: ‘Tóg do shráideog agus siúil’?”
13 Ach ní raibh a fhios ag an té a leigheasadh cérbh é, mar bhí Íosa imithe i leataobh ón slua a bhí cruinnithe san áit.
14 Fuair Íosa ina dhiaidh sin é sa Teampall agus dúirt leis: “Féach, tá tú leigheasta. Ná déan peaca feasta le heagla go mbainfeadh rud éigin níos measa duit.”
15 D’imigh an duine agus d’inis sé do na Giúdaigh gurbh é Íosa a leigheas é.
16 Is dá bharrsan a bhí na Giúdaigh ag géarleanúint ar Íosa mar go ndearna sé na nithe seo ar an tsabóid.
17 Is é freagra a thug Íosa orthu: “Tá m’Athair ag obair anois, agus riamh, agus táimse ag obair chomh maith.”
18 Ba mhóide sin mar ba mhian leis na Giúdaigh é chur chun báis, mar níorbh é amháin go mbíodh sé ag briseadh na sabóide ach ag tabhairt a athair féin ar Dhia, á chur féin ar aon chéim le Dia.

Matha 28 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

15 Ghlac siad an t-airgead agus rinne de réir mar a dúradh leo, agus bíonn an scéal á reic i measc na nGiúdach go dtí an lá inniu.
16 D’imigh an t-aon deisceabal déag leo go dtí an Ghailíl, go dtí an sliabh a cheap Íosa mar ionad coinne dóibh,
17 agus ar a fheiceáil dóibh d’umhlaigh siad dó, ach go raibh amhras ar chuid acu.
18 Tháinig Íosa chucu agus labhair sé leo: “Tá gach údarás tugtha domsa ar neamh agus ar talamh.
19 Imígí dá bhrí sin, déanaigí deisceabail de na náisiúin uile, á mbaisteadh in ainm an Athar agus an Mhic agus an Spioraid Naoimh,
20 ag múineadh dóibh gach ní atá ordaithe agam a choinneáil. Agus féach, táim in éineacht libh i gcónaí go dtí deireadh an tsaoil.”

The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.

John 5:15

Jesus said:

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

Matthew 28:18-20

Eoin 5 (English Standard Version)

12 They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?”
13 Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place.
14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him,
“See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.”
15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him.
16 And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.
17 But Jesus answered them,
“My Father is working until now, and I am working.”
18 This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Matha 28 (English Standard Version)

15 So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.
17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and said to them,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
