Salm 18 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

27 Is glan tú le lucht na glaine,
agus glic le lucht an ghlicis.
28 Óir saorfaidh tú lucht na huirísle
ach umhlóidh tú lucht an díomais.
29 Is tusa, a Thiarna, mo lóchrann,
mo Dhia thú, a shoilsíonn mo dhorchacht.
30 Is tríotsa a bhearnaím na sluaite;
le cabhair Dé a ghabhaim de léim thar balla.
31 Tá slí Dé gan mháchail,

Is é is sciath go dearfa

5 agus d’fhéach sé orthu go daingean le súil go bhfaigheadh sé rud éigin uathu.
6 Ach dúirt Peadar leis: “Níl ór ná airgead agam, ach an ní atá agam bronnaim ort é: in ainm Íosa Críost an Nazórach, siúil.”

9 Thug an pobal go léir faoi deara é ag léimneach agus ag moladh Dé
10 agus nuair a d’aithin siad gurbh é an fear a bhíodh ina shuí ag Geata Álainn an Teampaill é, ghabh ionadh agus alltacht iad faoinar tharla dó.
11 Choinnigh an fear greim ar Pheadar agus ar Eoin agus rith an slua go léir chucu i bPóirse Sholaimh mar a thugtar air, agus uafás orthu.

By my God I can leap over a wall.

Acts 3:8

Salm 18 (English Standard Version)

26 with the purified you show yourself pure;
and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous.
27 For you save a humble people,
but the haughty eyes you bring down.
28 For it is you who light my lamp;
the Lord my God lightens my darkness.
29 For by you I can run against a troop,
and by my God I can leap over a wall.
30 This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
31 For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God?—
32 the God who equipped me with strength
and made my way blameless.

Gníomhartha 3 (English Standard Version)

5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them.
6 But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”
7 And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.
8 And leaping up he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God,
10 and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
11 While he clung to Peter and John, all the people, utterly astounded, ran together to them in the portico called Solomon's.
